The all-new Bilstein® Black Hawk® e2 shock system provided on the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX is exclusive to Dodge’s line and is the most sophisticated ever offered on a production truck. (How’s that for an opening line?)
The e2 shocks on the new 1500 TRX boast Ram Active Terrain Dynamics, which continuously adapt to varied terrain. Specifically, a proprietary control algorithm monitors vehicle sensors in real-time and adapts as you drive to account for speed, braking torque, steering angle, throttle position, and more. The result is superb body control whether you’re on- or off-road.
The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX is more than just a growling 702-HP “Hellcat” engine. It’s also expressly built for hitting the trails in Langley, Surrey, and throughout British Columbia.
This truck offers an 11.8-inch ground clearance to ensure it can clear obstacles and hazards on the off-roads; it also boasts a 13-inch front suspension travel and a 14-inch rear suspension travel. Further, its airbox sports a high-performance induction system that consumes 32.9 litres of air every minute and filters up to four times as much debris as the class-competing Ford Raptor.
The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX isn’t just the first pickup to win the MotorTrend Truck of the Year for an unprecedented third time in a row. It’s also the first Ram Dodge has ever manufactured that comes equipped with Launch Control with Launch Assist.
Launch Control with Launch Assist on the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX monitors wheel slippage in real-time, analyzing feedback and also regulating engine RPM on-the-fly in order to maintain the quickest possible acceleration rate during your drive. It’s one of many advantages that make this truck nearly peerless relative to competitors in its class.
We can’t get enough of the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX here on our Langley lot and neither can critics. After all, it’s been selected as the MotorTrend Truck of the Year—and for good reason. It has a sensational engineering block under its hood!
The cast-iron engine block powering the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX restrains a crankshaft forged of steel and complete with induction-hardened bearings. This design affords the ability for the truck to handle firing pressures of as much as 1,595 psi, which is roughly equal to 20,000 pounds of force!
The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX is almost certainly unlike the trucks you’re accustomed to. It’s wildly powerful, with a 6.2L HEMI V8 engine that creates a best-in-class 702 horses and best-in-class 650 lb.-ft. of torque. In fact, the twin-screw supercharger brings torque speed up to a maximum of 14,600 RPM, and regulates boost pressure to as high as a stunning 11.0 psi.
The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX isn’t just for show—it’s for ‘go!’ Contact us at Willowbrook Chrysler now to arrange a test drive of this game-changing truck.
Yes, the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX’s V8 “Hellcat” engine cranks out an astounding 702 horses. But no, that is not all that Dodge is bringing to the table for this model year—not by a long shot.
This inspired truck now comes with a new exhaust manifold, X-pipe, and deep-sump oil pan, the latter of which specifically helps with keeping the motor lubricated even at exceptional off-road angles. Even better, the Ram team has designed a new frame for the truck that’s stronger than ever. In the process, they moved the front axle forward, enabling the inclusion of incredible 35-inch Goodyear Territory All-Terrain tires. They’ve been custom-fit to help the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX own the trails!

The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX—affectionately nicknamed the “T-Rex” by the fine folks at Dodge—is an absolutely marvelous engineering achievement. This MotorTrend Truck of the Year boasts an exceptional four-wheel-drive system to handle the dustiest, roughest of trails with ease—but that’s certainly not all. It also sports an electronically locking rear differential and a 2.64:1 crawl ratio. Further, a high-torque-capacity eight-speed automatic transmission makes it a blast to take out on Surrey’s roads, as does the thrilling 0 to 60 MPH time of only 4.5 seconds.

The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX has won the MotorTrend Truck of the Year for an unprecedented third consecutive time. While that’s an immense accomplishment, when you stop to consider how this machine has been crafted, it’s a development that’s not surprising in the least.
Dodge was certainly ambitious with the new Ram 1500 TRX. They went back and radically re-made the frame of the truck itself—in fact, 74-percent of it has been modified compared to the outgoing model. As a result, it is now boxed and thicker than ever, utilizing more high-strength steel in order to create a long-lasting ride. Bent frames after an off-road jaunt are less likely than ever!
Dodge’s latest, performance-focused pickup is nearly peerless in its approach to performance, as readily evidenced by its selection as the 2021 MotorTrend Truck of the Year. Its secret sauce? Well, there are numerous attributes, but a key is its sensational 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 “Hellcat” powertrain. It produces an outright ridiculous 702 horses and 650 lb.-ft. of torque. The result? A truck that blasts off from 0 to 60 MPH in only 4.5 seconds—and makes the run through the quarter mile in approx. 13 seconds!

One of the latest and greatest innovations to come from Ram is the eTorque Mild Hybrid system. Equipped on select 1500 models - including the Tradesman, Big Horn, Laramie, Limited Longhorn, and Limited - this function will impress in Surrey.
However, there is a tiny catch. It is not standard. It comes with only two engine options. First is the 5.7 L HEMI V8. Working with variable valve timing and multi-displacement, this new feature enhances the truck’s fuel economy without sacrificing strength. The other is the 3.6 L Pentastar VVT V6 motor. Both use an 8-speed automatic transmission and either RWD or 4WD.
Instead of using a conventional alternator, it comes with a generator and a 48-volt lithium-ion Nickel Manganese Cobalt Graphite battery. Air-cooled and the size of a small suitcase, you can find it situated against the interior back wall of the cabin.
When trying to choose the right powertrain, you should also look at the performance and output to determine which one is best suited to your needs. If you would like further assistance with this, our experts here at Willowbrook are available to help.
